Mike Harrington

Mike Harrington recently retired from 3M Company and is an accomplished management and industrial sales executive boasting an over 40-year-long career. A major and background in engineering bookend his personal education. Before joining 3M Company, Mike was a part of the Normac Inc., Huffman Corp., and S. L. Munson and Co. organizations, the final of which he was appointed Vice President of Sales. His expertise includes engineering, manufacturing and development, quality control, research and development, and advanced product development.

As a sales executive, Mike was known for leading and developing strong, efficient teams that achieved record sales results. His tenure includes significant global travel, where he spearheaded developmental efforts in Asia and Europe.

Mike was in charge of opening a corporate branch of a prior organization overseas, and upon his return, his time abroad sparked a passion for state-level growth and development. This would become the primary reason he was elected to the North Carolina House of Representatives in 2000.

Throughout the years during and after serving in the House, Mike served on numerous boards and committees, committing himself to various organizations and their fundraising and facilities development goals.

Mike’s interest in issues has only grown over time, and his passion is renewed as he works in the government sector through the formation of Byers, Harrington & Harrington, LLC.
